Storybook Forest
Terms of Use
Effective 2026-09-23
Article 1 (Purpose)
These Terms set out the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between JNH (the “Company”) and members in using the Storybook Forest app and related services (the “Service”).
Article 2 (Definitions)
- “Member” means a person aged 14 or older who agrees to these Terms and creates an account.
- “Child” means a person with whom a Member, as a guardian, reads or listens to stories. A child does not create an account and uses the Service under the Member's account and supervision.
- “Subscription” means a paid service that lets you read stories for a set period and renews automatically at the end of each period.
- “Narration ticket” means a credit used to create audio of one story read in a voice the Member registered.
- “My Voice” means an AI voice made from a voice the Member recorded or uploaded, and the story audio made with that voice.
Article 3 (Posting and Changes)
- The Company posts these Terms on the app's purchase screen, in the My menu, and on this page.
- The Company may change these Terms within the limits of applicable law. We announce the effective date and reasons at least 7 days in advance, or 30 days in advance for changes unfavorable to Members, and notify Members separately, such as by in-app notification.
- If you do not agree to the changed Terms, you may stop using the Service and delete your account. If you do not object by the announced effective date, you are deemed to have agreed (this does not apply to unfavorable changes).
- Earlier editions are available under “Earlier editions” at the bottom of this page.
Article 4 (Membership)
- Only people aged 14 or older may sign up. The Service assumes a guardian reads stories to or with a child, and children use it under the Member's supervision.
- You may sign up with an email address or with a Kakao, Naver, Google, or Apple account.
- The Company may refuse or later terminate a membership if someone else's information was used, the applicant is under 14, or the applicant previously lost eligibility under these Terms.
Article 5 (Account Security)
- You are responsible for your account and password and must not let others use them.
- If you learn your account has been compromised, change your password immediately and let the Company know.
Article 6 (Service and Changes)
- The Company provides story reading, audiobooks, reading in My Voice, reading records, and related features.
- The Company may change parts of the Service or add or remove stories for operational or technical reasons. Changes that materially affect paid services are announced in advance.
- The Service may be paused temporarily for maintenance, outages, natural disasters, or similar unavoidable causes, with advance notice where possible.
Article 7 (Paid Services and Payment)
- Paid services are subscriptions and narration tickets. Prices and details are shown on the app's product screens.
- Payment is made through App Store or Google Play in-app purchase, and the actual amount and currency are set by the store you pay through. The Company does not receive payment details such as card numbers.
- Unless canceled, a subscription renews automatically on the same terms at the end of each period and is charged. Each subscription period includes 5 narration tickets, granted again at every renewal.
- Narration tickets do not expire. Tickets you have left remain usable after your subscription ends or is canceled.
- To cancel a subscription, use the store you paid through: for the App Store, Settings > Apple Account > Subscriptions on your iPhone; for Google Play, Play Store > Payments & subscriptions. After canceling, you can keep using it until the end of the period you already paid for.
- If a minor pays without the consent of their legal guardian, the minor or the guardian may cancel the contract. Request a refund from the store you paid through, or contact support ([email protected]) and we will explain how to cancel.
Article 8 (Withdrawal and Refunds)
- You may withdraw a purchase within 7 days of payment. However, under Article 17(2)(5) of the Korean Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, you cannot withdraw any part of digital content whose provision has already begun.
- Subscriptions: all stories open as soon as you pay, so provision has begun and a subscription cannot be withdrawn.
- Narration tickets: only unused tickets can be withdrawn.
- Withdrawals and refunds are requested from the store you paid through, under that store's refund policy. The Company cannot refund payments on a store's behalf.
- App Store: reportaproblem.apple.com, or App Store > Account > Purchase History
- Google Play: Play Store > Payments & subscriptions
- When the store approves a refund, the Company withdraws the subscription period and narration tickets granted by that payment. The subscription ends immediately, and the tickets received are deducted from your remaining tickets. If you have already used some and are short, the shortfall is deducted first from tickets you buy or receive later.
- Audio already made with used narration tickets is not deleted.
- If audio fails to be created, the ticket used is returned automatically, with no need to request a refund.
- Detailed refund rules for each product follow the refund policy shown on the app's product detail screen.
- If you could not use the Service because of the Company's fault, such as an outage, contact support ([email protected]); we will review it and compensate you, for example with narration tickets.
Article 9 (My Voice)
- You may register only your own voice or a voice whose owner has allowed its use for this feature. The voice of a child under 14 may be registered only if you, as the guardian, consent.
- You must not register someone else's voice without permission, or use the resulting audio to impersonate or deceive others. You are responsible for any consequences, and the Company may delete the voice and restrict your use.
- Audio made with My Voice may be used only for listening within the Service by you and your family, and may not be exported or used commercially.
- How voices are processed, including outside providers and overseas transfer, follows the Voice Collection, Use, and Overseas Transfer Notice. We ask for your consent once, the first time you try to upload a voice (and again if that notice is revised).
Article 10 (Prohibited Conduct)
- Using another person's account or information
- Copying, distributing, or selling stories, audio, images, or other content of the Service without permission
- Using the Service abnormally (automation tools, payment manipulation, etc.) or disrupting its operation
- Harassing others or sending unlawful content through inquiries or other channels
Article 11 (Copyright)
- Rights to the stories, illustrations, audio, and other content of the Service belong to the Company or their rightful owners.
- You may use the content only for personal, non-commercial use within your household.
Article 12 (Account Deletion and Restrictions)
- You may delete your account at any time in My > Delete account. If you have an auto-renewing subscription, you must cancel it first.
- When you delete your account, remaining narration tickets and the rest of your subscription period are lost, and your registered voices and the audio made with them are deleted.
- If you violate Article 9 or 10, the Company may restrict your use or terminate your membership after prior notice.
Article 13 (Limitation of Liability)
- The Company is not liable for damage caused by natural disasters, the Member's fault, or outages of outside services beyond the Company's control.
- The Company is liable under applicable law for damage caused by its intent or gross negligence.
Article 14 (Disputes)
- If you have a complaint about the Service, contact support ([email protected]). We respond within 3 business days of receipt.
- These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, and any lawsuit is handled by the competent court under the Korean Civil Procedure Act.
