Voice Collection, Use, and Overseas Transfer Notice

“Read in My Voice” makes an AI voice from a voice a member recorded or uploaded, and uses it to read stories aloud. Voices are processed only for members who use this feature, and we ask for separate consent to this notice the first time you try to upload a voice.
1. Information We Process
- Voice files you recorded or uploaded, and the names you give them
- The AI voice model made from that audio (created at an outside provider)
- Story audio made with that voice
2. Purpose
We use it only to create and play audio of the stories you choose, read in that voice. We do not use it for any other purpose, such as advertising or making other people's voices.
3. How Consent Works and Whose Voice
- We ask for consent to this notice once, the first time you try to upload a voice, and it applies to voices you upload afterward. If this notice is revised into a new edition, we ask again the next time you upload.
- You may upload only your own voice or a voice whose owner has allowed its use for this feature. Because the owner can differ each time, the app reminds you of this on the upload screen every time.
- The voice of a child under 14 may be uploaded only if you, as the guardian, consent.
- You are responsible for any consequences of uploading a voice without permission, and the Company may delete such a voice once confirmed.
4. Retention and Deletion
- Voices are kept until you delete them or delete your account.
- Deleting a voice deletes the original file, the AI voice model at the outside provider, and all story audio made with it. Deletion at the outside provider may finish a few minutes later; if it fails, the Company retries.
- The record of your consent (which edition and when) and the count of voices you created (used for the daily limit) remain after deletion, but they contain no audio.
5. Outside Providers and Overseas Transfer
To make AI voices, we transfer audio overseas as below (Article 28-8 of the Korean Personal Information Protection Act).

Under its own terms of use, Fish Audio may use the audio and story text it receives to improve its own AI models. The Company creates AI voices as private, so other Fish Audio users cannot use them.
Retention is as in section 4 (until you delete the voice or your account).
6. Your Right to Refuse and to Withdraw Consent
- You do not have to consent. If you do not, only Read in My Voice is unavailable; story reading, audiobooks, and other features work as usual.
- Once you delete all your voices, the Company no longer processes any voice. To withdraw the consent itself, contact support ([email protected]). If you try to upload a voice after withdrawing, we will ask for consent again.
